Super Sweet Saba

Being unemployed is never an amazing feeling. Luckily for me it lasted less than a week, phew! Word of advice, if you're unemployed, it's probably not the best idea to go out and buy a wallet for $100. I mean, I speak from experience here.

This beauty was just that, a beauty. $100 AUD from Saba. I did love my old wallet, but thanks to my crappy iPhone case, the colour rubbed off on it making it look pretty gross. That's okay, I'm never using that iPhone case again.

On a side note, I find it pretty ironic that I pretty much emptied my wallet of its money contents in order to buy a new one. Ha!

Paisley

So I had a lazy day yesterday. Woke up late, stayed in my PJs until the early afternoon, watched movies and pretty much just wasted lots and lots of time. It was great... at first. See I'm not one to have too much lazy-time. I get irritated, restless, impatient. I need to get out and do things or I go insane. Naturally I started to feel guilty for being so lazy, I mean the sun was out, it seemed warm and all I wanted to do was have a picnic in a nice park with yummy food and perhaps some soccer. So I'm all like, "I'm going to get ready now and wear nice clothes and do something productive!" I get into the shower, I'm feeling motivated, it's a sunny day... but no, no it's not. When I get out there's some random massive rainstorm and there's wind blowing through all the windows I just opened, and it's cold, and then I get depressed. And it's been cold ever since. I'm miserable. Cold makes me sad.

But at least there's sun. At least we can be somewhat deceived that this weather is happy weather. Lets be honest, all I really want to do is curl up in bed, drink milo and watch The Voice.

Mum bought me these paisley print trousers from ASOS and I am in luurrrvvveee. They're super comfy as well, non of that oh-it's-so-tight-on-my-waist-I-need-a-belt-and-I-can't-walk-properly business. They're fresh and they've got this intricate print with spring colours... they're so perfect. Totally going to wear them when I'm in America (that's right, I'm going in 7 weeks with Marni and Rachel and I can't wait. I'm going to explode).

On another note, I bought this beautiful chiffon shirt from Nasty Gal a couple of weeks ago and realised I couldn't really afford it only after I received it in the mail. I'm selling it. Have a look here, although it's $36 or something it ended up costing me $50 to have it shipped here since postage is $15. It's never worn, still got tags, and I'm selling it for $35 including postage. It's a size M. Want it? Contact me if you know me. If you don't know me comment here and we'll sort something out.
EDIT: Sorry guys, have now sold this. But I'll leave the picture here, so we can admire its beauty.

I'm obsessing over that song.

That is all. X

Wuthering Heights

So I recently became obsessed with this one song by Kate Bush, called Wuthering Heights. It's based on the book, and it's really... eerie, but in a beautiful way I suppose? Anyway it's made me want to read the book, and it turns out my mum has this amazing vintage copy that was once my uncles. Awesome considering I was prepared to go out and by myself a copy regardless! Back to the point, you guys should listen to the song. Here. Sweet!

I did promise photos of all my London shopping, but the truth is, there is too much and I can NOT be bothered to go through it all. However I will attempt to show you bits and pieces here and there throughout these (very irregular) blog posts. Ironically, some of the stuff I'm about to show you isn't even from the UK, but it's new and exciting!

My favourite dress at the moment, it's from Princess Polly and was $65.

THIS is from London, (Zara) and was equivalent to about $120 AUD. I love it and I'm kind of happy  it's cold these days so I can wear it!

Yeah this is just from Sportsgirl. It's my new uni bag and was $60.

This is my new galaxy iPhone case from Etsy for about $20 all up, my new magnolia silver sing and my new bio sculpture gel nails!

Okay now, time for Gossip Girl.

P.S. I'm obsessing over instagram, follow me @sohan92!

Accessorise

I know. I'm heaps slack with posting entries. BUT I just came back from a 4 week holiday about 3 weeks ago, and I've been really... jet lagged. Yeah. We went to the UK (yay!) and then India (fml) but it was a wonderful trip with the family. We even saw a Shakespeare play in Stratford upon Avon (Measure for Measure) then went to the Dirty Duck afterwards where the actors are meant to hang out. Of course we were highly disappointed when we were the only 4 people in the pub and the bar was to close in 10 minutes... but then, as we walked outside we ran into the star of the show himself. We even know where he lives now. No, we did not follow him home. Anyway, the highlight was definitely staying in the UK and getting to know my amazing cousins... and the shopping. Which brings me to this post...

London is wonderful. The atmosphere, the decorations - mind you, it was Christmas/New Years time, but the lights were breathtaking. Not to mention the fish and chips. And the coffee. And the accents! OH, the accents. Love. We spent about 2 hours in Top Shop, which was like a gazillion stories high, as well as Urban Outfitters, H&M, Zara (which is WAY better overseas by the way) and many many more. I shall show you all photos of my shopping in the posts to come.

But for now, I must show you the jewellery I bought over there (and some once I returned to Ozland), because it is so so so shiny and pretty and I spend way too long in the mornings trying to decide which rings to wear on which finger and which necklace goes with my outfit better. Geez.

Watch necklace from Paddy's Markets $10 / Sterling silver pendant from London jeweller $80

Urban Outfitters watch $15 / Diva watch from Paddy's Markets $20

From left to right: sterling silver ring (present from Sanj) / sterling silver ring from London Jeweller / purple stone ring from London Jeweller / blue star ring from Lovisa / blue stone ring from London Jeweller / silver pinky ring from London Jeweller

And for now that is all. Clothes coming soon. YAY!

Nail Rock

So while I wait for my UV light to arrive so I can do shellac on my own nails, I need to find other ways to keep them strong and unbreakable. I found these on ASOS (and can I say that the new Australian site has amazingly fast postage) and couldn't resist! They're Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps and they come in heaps of cool designs. I loved this lace pattern so thought I'd buy a set to try them out and see what they're like!

They're so easy to apply, it's like a sticker and it stays on for up to 10 days. They also add a bit of strength which is an added bonus for those like me whose nails could nearly bend backwards (nearly people, nearly). The next one on my list is metallic silver.

Also just bought a fake Comme de Garcons wallet on eBay cause I'm a cheapo and can't afford the real one... weeeeeeeeee!

Nasty Gals Do It Better (And So Do JC Girls)

Okay I think I've done enough shopping for this season... going to try and NOT spend money on any more clothes until my trip to England/India in January! Not sure if it will actually happen, but gotta start somewhere!

Totally crazy about my new shoes, I'm going to wear them every single weekend. And my new clothes. Yay, yay, yay, I am a happy person.

Over and out. X

Love Life

Made a trip to Typo today to find these awesome block letters for such a cheap price! I got 5 of them for about $16 which I was really pleased with. I love how bold they are and add a very simplistic feel to a room without sacrificing creativity. Decided on "<3 LIFE" because that's pretty much something I live by every day. It's important to love living and enjoy every day no matter what is thrown at you. So it's just a little reminder to myself, hehe.

I've also suddenly had an urge to read books. Don't know what it is. But I thought I'd start by revisiting a novel I enjoyed most. The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield is one of the best books I've read... not that I can talk, I'm really not a wide reader. However this novel is riveting. It's so haunting... but it keeps you hooked. It's beautifully written as well. Must keep reading more novels. Any suggestions?
