WOAHHHH WAS I THE ONLY ONE WHO DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A MEAN GIRLS 2 MOVIE?

The story follows a tomboy known as "Jo" who is new to North Shore high where the "plastics" Mandi (with an I), Chastity and Hope are the popular kids. Jo meets Abby who is also a student at North Shore High and lives next to Mandi - and pays for it as she has been bullied most of her school life. Abby's parents are devastated cause Abby comes home crying after Mandi paint bombed her car, so Abby's dad offers to pay Jo to be her friend - I know right, I don't even... whatever. *NOTE MEAN GIRLS PUN* Although Jo is hesitant she agrees because she wants money for college. In short, Jo ends up genuinely liking Abby but gets bullied for it in numerous ways such as being glued to her motorbike, having the whole school know she is a virgin and her dad's job sabotaged. So Jo gets back at Mandi and the plastics by creating the "anti-plastics" with her new friends but ends up turning into someone who is just like Mandi and then all this drama happens and her boyfriend breaks up with her and then something else happens and they are all friends again and Mandi gets taken to jail. Yep.

Mean Girls 2 uses the same concept of the "dumb blonde" (like Karen from the first movie) with Chastity who gets her homework done by making out with boys! Ironic right! No super boob-weather-predicting powers though.

So it was terrible. Meaghan Jette Martin who plays Jo was fantastic at acting but Maiara Walsh who plays Mandi was TERRIBLEEE. As were most of the others. I could see her thinking about her lines and ugh. It was just such a copy of the first movie that it failed miserably. You can't top Mean Girls. You just can't. It's legendary.

Similarities were there, they had the dumb blonde idea. They also had that idea of the protagonist turning into a plastic when they didn't want to, then losing all their friends, then getting set up for something, then being proven innocent, then getting their friends back.

I suppose it's good if you don't want to think about anything and feel like wasting 2 hours.

The fashion was also pretty bad. Jo wore some nice numbers but I thought the plastics were meant to be fashionable? Can't even give them that much.
